The Ever Energetic Arlene Hewitt

Ask Arlene Hewitt what she's up this summer and you get an impressive list.

In addition to working as the "chief stuffer and stamper " for her favorite candidate, she's been working with the Coalition for Clean and Smoke-Free Air to promote prevention of smoke second hand smoke.

She's working with the Women of Reform Judaism on a bagel brunch with a speaker on the subject of "What do one billion Muslims really think?" The event will be at Beth El Hebrew Congregation on October 23. The community is welcome to attend. For more information, contact Arlene at 703-751-0950.

Audrey continues to work with the Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy Policy and Fund Committee. She serves on their executive committee.

For fun and relaxation, she takes Tai Chi classes, attends Adult Retiree Meetings of the Northern Virginia Jewish Community Center, and as an avid Nationals Baseball fan, has been attending some games and watching the rest on TV.

She has recently returned from a three-day stay at the Bavarian Inn in Shepardstown, West Virginia where she attended the American Theater Festival and will soon take her daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons, ages 14 and 16 on a cruise to Alaska.
