Most people don't realize that in the 1980's, Mickey Mantle worked for Timesaver/Mastercard and Visa, serving as a national spokesperson to enlighten the public about a brand new financial instrument.

H. David Meyers, who was CEO of Timesaver/Mastercard and Visa hired Mickey Mantle. After he left Timesaver, Mickey Mantle commissioned a painting by the famous artist, Robert Simon, and gave it as a gift to Meyer and his brother. The original painting of Mickey Mantle is valued at a million dollars and will be sold at auction to benefit Wounded Warriors. This print is one of 50 that was been signed by the original artist before he had a heart attack.

Meyers is now the director of Beethovenfound, a charitable corporation created to utilize major symphony orchestras to raise funds for specific causes. Most recently, the focus of their events have been to support Wounded Warriors.
